A tomatillo in not a baby tomato, but it is botanically speaking a member of the same nightshade family as tomatoes. Tomatillos have a slightly more acidic flavor and are delicious when made into a salsa. Tomatillos are beneficial and help our bodies fight inflammation and reduce the risk of cancer development and growth.
